Business Analyst – Actimize Upgrade Support (BSA/AML & Fraud)
Location: Preferably Florida (open to remote candidates who can travel monthly)
Start Date: June, 2025
Duration: 12-month contract
Overview:
Proactive and independent Business Analyst to support an Actimize upgrade and migration project. While direct Actimize experience is not required, familiarity with the platform (as a user or analyst) is expected. The ideal candidate should be a quick learner with strong production support experience, comfortable taking initiative, engaging stakeholders, and driving process improvement across business and IT teams.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who can assess, consult, and improve—not just follow directions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actimize Upgrade Support & Analysis
 - Support the migration from the March 2022 version of Actimize to the 2025 version across multiple phases.
 - Analyze release notes (2022–2024) and evaluate the business and data impact of updates.
 - Collaborate with stakeholders to assess data implications and system dependencies.
 - Assist with issue resolution related to ETL transformations and relational databases tied to financial transactions.
 - Data Analysis & Production Support
 - Provide day-to-day production support and troubleshooting of system issues.
 - Analyze workflows, batch jobs, and failure points to identify and implement optimizations.
 - Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance throughout the upgrade process.
 - Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
 - Partner with business and technical teams to understand functional needs and propose practical solutions.
 - Support backlog management and resolution of 50+ existing release-related tickets.
 - Participate in evaluating the addition of a third test environment to improve release cycles.
 - Act as a bridge between users, developers, and QA teams to ensure alignment and delivery quality.

Experience:
- Experience in production support, preferably in financial services or banking environments.
 - Familiarity with Actimize (BSA/AML & Fraud)—as a user, analyst, or through adjacent system interactions.
 - Strong analytical skills to interpret release notes, troubleshoot issues, and identify data risks.
 - Proficient in working with ETL processes, relational databases, and financial transaction data.
 - Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion without close supervision.
 - Comfortable working in both production and development environments, including SaaS platforms.
 - Effective communicator and collaborator across business, IT, and vendor teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in BSA/AML, financial crime risk, or fraud detection.
 - Experience supporting software upgrades or migrations in a regulatory environment.
 - Prior exposure to Actimize upgrades or integration projects is a plus but not required.
