Must-Have Technical Skills:
- Guidewire (Gosu): Core skill for business logic customization and integration within ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, or BillingCenter.
- Java: Needed because Gosu is Java-like, and integration/custom logic may involve Java libraries.
- Web Services (REST APIs): For integrating Guidewire with external systems (e.g., payment gateways, CRM, etc.).
- Unit Testing: To ensure changes in business logic or integrations don’t break existing functionality.
- VSCode or similar (Code Organization): Familiarity with modern code organization practices and IDEs.
- Data Integration: Ability to work with data models, mappings, and external data sources/sinks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain business rules in Gosu.
- Work on support and evolutionary changes to existing Guidewire implementations.
- Build and consume REST APIs.
- Write and run unit tests.
- Handle incident support and deliver enhancements for Guidewire modules.
- Collaborate with QA and other stakeholders in the insurance tech environment.
