At Telefónica, S.A., we require a highly qualified technical expert in Power BI.

As an example, some of the key activities included in the services are:

  • Actively participating in the planning, execution, and evolution of the Power BI solution, providing direct support to Telefónica.
  • Establishing a deep and ongoing technical relationship, with detailed knowledge of the client's environment, processes, and objectives.
  • Analyzing the current Power BI environment to identify risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Defining a technical roadmap aligned with the client's business and digital transformation goals.
  • Delivering customized training sessions (“chalk talks”) and hands-on workshops to upskill the client’s team in:
  • Power BI solution design principles, best practices for data modeling, visualization and security, and integration with other platforms such as Azure, Microsoft 365, or Power Platform.
  • Solution optimization: conducting performance assessments and architecture reviews to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability of reports and datasets.
  • Proposing and implementing recommendations to reduce costs, enhance user experience, and accelerate data-driven decision-making.
  • Continuously monitoring the Power BI environment to anticipate issues before they become critical incidents.
  • Applying preventive measures to ensure solution stability and availability.

Massive management of objects, measures, and visuals:

  • Automating repetitive tasks using scripts.
  • Using external tools such as Tabular Editor or ALM Toolkit.

Model optimization:

  • Reviewing and restructuring DAX measures.
  • Removing unused columns/tables.
  • Optimizing performance and relationships.

Report and slicer translation:

  • Multilingual adaptation of dashboards and reports.
  • Translating slicers, titles, labels, and tooltips.

Server visualization adjustments:

  • Fixing object displacement.
  • Validating responsive design.

Training on Copilot and new functionalities:

  • Practical workshops on how to use Copilot in Fabric.
  • Integration with Microsoft 365.

Automations with Power Automate:

  • Automating dataset refreshes.
  • Sending alerts, approval flows, and workflows.

Incremental refresh:

  • Implementing partitions and parameters.

General Fabric tenant review:

  • Environment audit (workspaces, capacities, users).
