Job Description
We are looking for a Test Manager with hands-on experience using the SAP ALM Testing Module to support our global SAP S/4HANA implementation. The selected candidate will lead test activities for an upcoming release and later transition to a test team member role for a larger program release under a more senior Test Manager.
SAP ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) in this context refers to the suite of tools provided by SAP—SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM—to manage the entire lifecycle of SAP applications. The ALM Testing Module specifically supports:
- Test case management
- Test execution tracking
- Defect logging and resolution
- Test progress reporting and traceability
The role requires experience using these ALM capabilities end-to-end in at least one SAP project.
Responsibilities
- Lead test planning, test case creation, execution tracking, and defect management using SAP ALM Testing Module.
- Coordinate testing activities with functional teams and workstream leads to ensure complete coverage.
- Monitor quality gates and testing milestones.
- Ensure traceability between business requirements and test coverage.
- Support various testing phases: system, integration, regression, and UAT.
- Participate as a test team member in a larger future release, reporting to a senior Test Manager.
Required Experience
- Proven experience as a Test Manager or Test Lead on SAP programs.
- At least one full end-to-end SAP project using SAP ALM Testing Module (either SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM).
- Understanding of SAP S/4HANA project structures and cross-functional testing approaches.
- Strong capabilities in planning, executing, and reporting test activities.
- Familiarity with defect management and issue resolution in SAP programs.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed, remote teams in a global environment.
- Comfortable transitioning from a lead role to a supporting role as project needs evolve.
